About Me
My name is Gianni Andrisani. I was born on 08.03.2006 in Flensburg.
My father used to race karts as a hobby, which is why I got my first kart at the age of three. In the beginning, I did a bit of slalom driving in parking lots, but at some point, we visited my home track in Vojens for the first time.
At the age of seven, I began participating in various championships in Denmark. Two years later, at the age of nine, I raced for the first time in Germany – the Rotax Max Challenge Germany in Hahn – which I finished in fourth place.
At ten years old, in 2016, I competed in the full Rotax Max Challenge Germany and finished the season in seventh place overall, including a win in the final race.
In 2017, I took part in a European Championship for the first time, which I finished in second place despite a broken foot – which cost me one race.
In 2018 and 2019, I fought for the title of German Champion in the Rotax Max Challenge. In 2018, I finished fifth, and in 2019, I narrowly achieved third place, after being championship leader, most of the year.
After that, I decided to switch to the official German Championship (DKM) – initially in the classes OKJ, OK, KZ2 Cup, and currently in the KZ2 Championship, while also taking part in many other international races.
ADAC Kart Academy 2019
In 2019, I dominated the ADAC Kart Academy. Even before the season finale in Wackersdorf, I secured the championship title, having won all twelve races of the season.
FIA Karting Academy Trophy 2020
At the beginning of 2020, I was selected by the German Motorsport Association to represent Germany in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. This series includes three races in Italy and Belgium and offers young drivers the opportunity to compete internationally. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to return to racing in July 2020 after the forced break. The final event of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy took place in October 2020 in Lonato, Italy. After a fifth place in qualifying and a ninth place in the heats, I fought hard in the final and finished in eleventh place. In the overall standings, I placed 18th.
Transition Year in OK 2021
In 2021, I took part in the German Kart Championship, the ADAC Kart Masters, and one race of the CIK-FIA European Championship in the OK class, representing the German colors. The FIA Kart European Championship started in May 2021 in Genk, where I could measure myself against international competitors and prepare hard but well for the rest of the championships. I also competed in the KZ2 class at the final event of the season in the DMSB Shifter Kart Cup. This participation enabled me to further develop my skills in shifter kart racing and prepare for higher-level competitions.
First Shifter Kart Year 2022
I took part in the German Kart Championship in the KZ2 class. In my first year in shifter karts, I achieved a podium finish at the final event in Wackersdorf, which would become more frequent the following year. In May, I competed in the Shifter Kart European Championship in the KZ class in Genk, Belgium. I surprised with good race pace and finished the event in 24th place.
Successes in the DSKC 2023
During the 2023 season, I consistently delivered strong performances with Mach1 Motorsport. At the mid-season race of the DMSB Shifter Kart Cup (DSKC) in Wackersdorf, I impressed with a charge from 18th on the grid to fourth place in the second race. In September 2023, at the penultimate DSKC event in Kerpen and the final event in Franciacorta, I once again reached the podium positions and demonstrated my competitiveness by finishing the championship in 4th place.
German Kart Championship (DKM) 2024
I started the 2024 DKM season with the TB Racing Team and showed consistent performances. At the opening race in Mülsen, I achieved third place in qualifying and finished the final in tenth place. As the season progressed, I continued my learning process, with another third place in qualifying and an impressive performance at the final event in Mülsen, although I was unfortunately involved in a race accident in the final.
Participation in the CIK-FIA World Cup 2024
In October 2024, I took part in the FIA Shifter Kart World Championship in Portimão, Portugal. Under difficult weather conditions, I delivered an impressive performance and finished the World Cup in the top ten, making me the best German participant.
